"Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes."
-Jim Carrey

Not meant to man bash, it just made me smile. How true. Hope everyone had a glorious weekend, rain and now cold. Aren't we due for something??? Have a spectacular week, can you believe that next week is Thanksgiving? And then December?

It was interesting, lasting about 10 minutes. Not sure what that means. The dept chair said the principal liked me. They have another candidate today and the guidance counselor wants him.

I also found out I have gall stones, I am feeling very old and out of shape. Time to be healthy...ugh.

Guidance-schmidance, what do they know? You are way better!!!And the principal likes you. Don't read too far into it.

Now the gall stones, have you had a gallbladder attack yet? It can be extremely painful. Are you going to have it out? Laproscopic-should be done in 1 day and then home. Can't help having a bad gallbladder, regardless of what you eat. It just happens. A friend at work who is a vegetarian and eats very healthy just found out she had to have hers out. Who knew? Ok- done with my doctor soaphbox-

Church Fair Saturday. Lots to do to get ready all week. I'm only in charge of the book room this year but I'm working a bunch with no time to put it together. I'm going to have to do it when I'm supposed to be working at the church.

I'm going to look into a new job over in Medical Oncology this week. Clinical Coordinator-whatever that means. Doesn't say what the job entails other than you need to be well-organized, have phlebotomy skills, certified in CPR and able to multi-task which I seem to fit all the qualifications. Probably only $10 per hour but it seems like the perfect job, no weekends, no holidays. I'll let you know.

Nancy's birthday next or just a night out sometime? December looks pretty horrid. We may have to go on an off night. Lynn, trying to find a time for Twilight. Let you know when we think we're going. I'm trying to have my mom take the kids over thanksgiving weekend so we can have some time alone. We kind of need it.

Have a good week. Hope you are doing ok Nance. Still thinking of you!

I have more urine in the house from either the dog or cat. It looks similar to Waffles as it is mostly water so I am taking Spud to the vet on Thursday to see if it is him and if he has kidney disease too. I am really nervous but I am trying not to think about it too much.

Deb... If it makes you feel any better I have to go for a 2 hr glucose tolorence test on Sat. morning...I'm expecting the worst.

How did you know you had gall stones??? Are you in pain?

The principal certainly ranks over the guidance counselor. Good luck!

Dan - anytime would be good for Twilight for Juli. I'm not sure about the work situation...it keeps changing daily. Ed and I are supposed to be going into the city on Saturday - so that is out for me either way.

Nancy... Dogs tend to pee because they smell the urine of other dogs - it doesn't mean he's sick. I hope everything is OK.

Hi Lynn, sorry about the glucose test. Not in pain, I had blood work done and my liver test was off slightly, had an ultrasound which showed gall stones and a fatty liver. Too much good living, the funny part is that my cholesterol is down by 30 pts. Apparently my fat goes to my liver and not in the blood stream. I am beginning the process of better eating, etc.

The job is promising I think. I should know for sure within a few days. They do want someone in to shadow next week so I guess I will know soon.

Nance, don't think the worst. Sometimes creatures and kids just pee. Hang in there!!

Dan, thanks for the gall stone story. I guess one way to get them is gaining and losing weight...that about sums my life up. Good luck at the church fair!! No windows yet.

Lynn: What is the glucose test for?

I keep getting yeast and urine infections. I don't like yogurt. Is there any way to prevent them or stop them?

Deb: Good luck on getting the job.

Dan: How's the job hunting going?

Nancy - it's a test for diabetes... I'm doomed to get it eventually.

So Emily has Strep Throat again. She just finished the antibiotic from her last ear infection on Saturday. Although she didn't take it every day because she had the stomach bug in between.

Ed took the day off to take E & L to the orthodontist and Emily to get the wart off under her toe nail (UGH). So, in one day she was at 3 doctors. Good news is that only Emily needs ortho work...looks like a little habit breaker and palate expander.

Nancy... are you birth control? I know I used to get a lot of yeast infections when I was on a different pill?

I stopped taking the pill several months ago and I was hoping that I would stop getting them.

I am probably doomed to get diabetes too. I actually have to schedule a blood test for glucose this week as I was told the yeast infection might be a pre-sign that I am diabetic too.

My dog is losing weight and he has a heart murmur. I am waiting to hear from the vet today about blood test results and I might be getting an ultrasound done to send to a cardiologist to see if they recommend any medication.

On the good side, we are getting my niece's (Miriya) original (2) songs recoreded on a cd the first weekend in December.

Also, we have a gigs @ Proud Marys bar (downstairs from the Inn @ Newtown) in Newtown 12/26, 1/23, 2/20, 3/20.
