I'm Pregnant

Not really...just wanted to get your attention since everyone has been ignoring the blog!!!

Look back at the last post and let's decide on days for the boat before we are all booked up from the summer.

All is well - knee is healing well and I have just about stopped limping. Going to see Sex in the City tonight. I can't wait - I love Mr. Big.

So - what's up with everyone else.

Lynn: If you have a girl you will have to change your license plate from 3 girlz to 4.

As for dates: Norb & I are taking 7/7-7/11 off from work so if you want to do one during the week it will not be as crowded on the lake.

Otherwise, I vote for Sunday 7/20 and either Saturday 8/23 or Sunday 8/24.

If none of these work, Lynn has the other dates I am available.

Norb & I went to see the latest Indiana Jones movie last night and it was great! We went out for our anniversary. Do you believe it has been two years? Time flies!

I'm not pregnant-yeah!

I'm not sure about lake dates. The main problem is Phi's leg. After the pins come out he has to be down and out for 4-6 weeks after as the chance of him breaking his leg is thousand fold. (he will now have 3 holes through his thigh that are about 3mm wide each). So... our dates would have to be in August. I can't guarantee we'd be able to go on 8/23 either. Make plans without us and if we can manage it we will. We're bummer but we know it!

As for everything else...
Pins come out June 13th.

8th grade dance is this friday. She's cutting all her hair off for locks of love that afternoon so she can get an "Alice Cullen" hairstyle (ask Juli, it's a twilight thing).
Graduation is the 17th.

Ted made the travel U12 baseball summer team...aren't I soooo lucky?!

Golf tournament is over and done with and they actually made money.

Children's Medical Center called and invited Phil to be part of the Ferrari club of America parade from the hospital to the Capitol and spend the day with them, that's on Father's Day. So, that's what we're going to do.
Each child gets to ride in a Ferrari in the parade and get announced. He's really excited. (wanted to be sure they are handicapped access-he cracks me up).

Spring band concert tonight.
Glad everyone else is ok. Sorry I haven't blooged in a while. I'll be better once school is done. After that it's only summer camps and baseball.

Dan -

Did you know there is a twilight movie coming out. I saw the previews the other night.

July 20th works for us. Not so sure about the August date. Nance, I think the kids have camp the week you are off.

All is well here. Pool is open. School is winding down.

Dan, the parade sounds cool! Have fun.

Lynn, what is twilight?

Nancy said...

What is twilight?

Dan: The parade sounds cool...get pictures!

Lynn: How was sex and the city?

Lynn said...

Twilight is a book - or now a series of books that Carolyn loves and Juli has started reading. Young girl novels... about love and vampires... all the beautiful stuff.

So, it looks like Sunday, July 20then.

The parade sounds awsome. Will you guys ride in the car with him or will you watch. If it wasn't Father's day and the girls bday we would come and cheer for him.

dan said...

Only Phil gets to ride in the car for the parade. He gets assigned a car number which they tell us what it is. Then the rest of us go on down to the Capitol and wait. As they drive in (by) they announce the car # and who the patient is. He is so excited. I think he's going to be a little sore since the pins come out 2 days before but that isn't stopping him.

Our pool...... had a huge hole in the liner which we patched after deciding we'd try and get another season out of. So, its still not running as we're trying to fill it with rain water and well water every other day. I think it'll be mid-June by the time we are able to go in (so Deb we may be coming to an area pool near you -such as yours-how's that for an invite me over?!).

And Lynn E- I cannot tell you how many times Carolyn has watched the Twilight trailer online. Its actually bookmarked in our computer. I can honestly say I'd be interested to see how well they do with it. Patiently waiting for book 4 (Breaking Dawn) to be released (Aug 2nd). You know us, we'll be there at midnight.

We'll see about July 20th but I know there a baseball tournament that weekend. Hopefully we can swing all this.

Glad everyone else is ok.

ps- How was Sex in the City??

Debbie said...

pool is open, cold but we are working on it. Come on over!!

Lynn said...

Sex and the City was so good - just like the show. I loved it.

Deb, I wish I had seen the post on the pool earlier. On Saturday Emily got invited to party with a big water slide but Lauren wasn't invited. I felt so bad and she kept asking me to go swimming somewhere. So she and Juli hooked up the hose and ran it on our swingset slide and made their own waterslide. I give them credit for making the best of it.

We went on the boat yesterday and the water was still freezing - but I'm sure it will warm up quickly after this week. We outran the thunderstorm and pulled in our driveway just as the downpour happened. It was pretty scary because it really came out of now where.

Is it possible to change to the weekend of 7/26 or 7/27 for Setzler's Candlewood Lake? I have a gig both weekends but the 7/25 gig is not so late at night. If not, it is no big deal. Just wondering...

Lynn said...

We can't do the weekend of the 27th. Gov't Mule concert at the Ives Center... anyone want to come a reminence about seeing Little Feat and Beaver Brown???

Nancy said...

Ok...7/20 it will stay then!

Debbie said...

Lynn that is sooooo tempting but we will have to pass.

Nance the 20th is on the calendar.

Pins came out today. He's doing pretty well. Leg feels a little "funny" but that's to be expected. We're home. It only took about an hour but a long time in recovery room. Glad that parts done!

Debbie said...

Happy to hear it went well. Keep us posted.

Came back from the Concorso Ferrari ride at CCMC. what a good time! phil was interviewed for the Hartford Courant. Who knows whether he'll actually make it in or not. He was making goofy faces trying to get on tv. (only Phil). So he got to ride in a race red Ferrari driven by an orthopaedic surgeon from Maine. At least this guy knew everything that was going on. Good to talk to someone who knew what was what. told Carolyn she had better study hard in Math if she wants to be a doctor. (I loved this guy from the minute I met him). Very funny. He and Phil had a blast in the car. I'll send pictures once I get them in the computer. Graduation on Tuesday and then life calms down. ( I shouldn't say that, the minute I do something else pops up).

On a totally unrelated note: How the hell am I supposed to watch the primaries in November now that Tim Russert is gone? I'm totally shocked. I watch Meet the Press every Sunday I can. How sad.

dan said...

Hi. go to www.courant.com and on the left hand side is the weekend articles which includes Ferrari Benefit for Children's Hospital. We're there.

Debbie said...

Dan, just read the article...quotes and everything!!
It sounds like it was very cool. I guess your doctor/driver is doing well in his chosen profession.

Lynn said...

I just read it too. How cool. Phil will remember that forever. I can't wait to see the pictures.
So glad the pins came out without trouble.

Dan - I'm impressed you watch meet the press. I must be the only one who is totally in the dark when it comes to news and polictics. At least I have educated and informed friends.

I'm completely exhasted today after the girls birthday yesterday. This party/ cookout stuff is just too much work. I have to take a quiz tonight on Managerial Accounting. I haven't even read the chapters yet because I was so busy all weekend.

Nancy said...

Great article! Dan you made the paper too! I hope you printed it and put it in a scrap book of some kind.

Lynn said...

Dan,

Can Phil move his hip bone now? I was thinking about that last night. It has to be so stiff and painful after not moving it for so long. How is he getting around?

dan said...

He's not supposed to jump or run yet. He is supposed to walk with crutches but I have to say he's limping along the house on his own pretty well. The muscle and bone or very soft so he doesn't have much strength in the leg. It's almost like how he limped in the very beginning, putting a lot of weight on his knee. We go back for follow up on June 26th.

Well, I officially have a high schooler. Graduation last night. Very nice. Glad its over. I now have someone in every school (elementary, middle & high school)-that seems weird. First day of summer vacation. Hanging out. Not much else, but as you know, there is still plenty of baseball....

Lynn said...

Deb... are you away the weekend of July 26th? We need a date to celebrate your birthday. That's dan's only free weekend so if that doesn't work, how about a weeknight? That may be easier to find a free night for all of us.

Came home after a 2.5 hour commute home last night to find no power. Finally got it back around 10:00 p.m. Today the man sitting next to me on the train flung a spider into my lap so I stood up and screamed at him. I hate commuting to Stamford!

Nancy said...

I have a gig @ Borders Friday 7/25 8-10 but other than that I am free.

Debbie said...

I am free that weekend. I am also free during the week. Let me know what works.

Lynn, do you want to borrow snake or tarantula to travel with. That will keep the commuters away.

dan said...

So is July 26th definite? I want to put it on my calendar before someone else puts something on.

Nancy said...

7/26 is good for me.

Debbie said...

It's a date!

Nancy said...

Is Lynn available...I thought she had something to do that day?

My boat is not working. We live next door to a marina and he keeps telling us he will look at but hasn't every time we ask. We are going to have to pull it out and bring it somewhere now...I am so bummed:(

Debbie said...

Your right Nance. Could we do that Friday or even Sunday?

dan said...

I'm free Friday or Sunday. I took the kids to go see Get Smart on Monday. Very funny but definitely rated pg-13. Most of the innuendo went right over Phil's head. Go tomorrow for our post surgical follow up appointment. Hopefully bandages come off. More xrays which I hope still look good. He fell again last Sunday at a picnic and dinged up his knee. Still a little swollen. At least its not a broken leg. All we can do is keep smiling.

Lynn said...

You guys are right... I have the gov't mule concert on July 26 and I promised to babysit my nephew on July 25. How about Sunday night???

Nancy said...

Sunday works for me.

dan said...

Sunday is ok

Debbie said...

Sunday it is!

Nancy said...

Where are we meeting and what time?

Lynn said...

Oh details, details...
Deb, where would you like to go???

Debbie said...

Can I take a few days for thought...we do have a month...and I am swamped entertaining my kids (ha,ha).

I will blog with thoughts soon.

If you go to www.98q.com and click on half price hook up you can get a $50 gift certificate for about $27 for El Mariachi's Mexican Restaurant in New Milford. I am not sure when we are playing there again. When we do play there again we play in the dining room so you can bring the kids along.
