Yes, I emailed the Bow Tie Cinemas of the experiences we had and got two movie passes in the mail today. That was the highlight of the day. Alan is home today. He is bringing the tranantula to the kid's classes. Hope you are all doing well. Somebody blog, please!!!

Does the tarantula normal live at your house? If so, don't answer. I need not know that I have been in the same house as a huge hairy spider with 16 eyes and even more legs.
I have bronchitis. I'm working a lot. This is the last full day of school for my children. Rest are 1/2 days from here until Monday. I cannot wait until school is over. Everyone is so tired and cranky.
Big vote today on reconfiguration etc...so tired of worrying about school. Mark and I are seriously talking about sending Carolyn to a private high school. Don't know if we really can afford it (an extra 100K we weren't planning on spending). Big reason against it, how can we send one and not all 3? mark says she's definately earned it and deserves it. the boys could honestly care less. We're thinking of the all girls school Westover. She can be a day student there. I have a huge pit in my stomach since he brought it up. The fear of the unknown...
So, Lynn.. what's up with work? It should feel good with no Ethel in the ranks.
Nance, I think we'll have to pass on the motorcycle, but good luck selling it. Going to have some soup now...later.
I almost went with my sister-in-law to Florida to pick up my father-in-law. He is moving up here for good. He is going to stay @ my other sister-in-law's house until we determine if he can live on his own. If so, we will buy him a trailer in Sherman and take turns visiting him. Then Norb and his son Paul will have to go to Florida to bring the rest of his stuff up.
Dan, if I lived closer I would make you soup. Take care of yourself because no one else will. And yes Marvin (tarantula) lives here in the summer and school vacations. He is not aggressive and I find him kind of boring. Sounds like you have big decisions with Carolyn, good luck.
Hey Nance, at least he isn't moving into the basement.
How are the Kusinski's??
I am going for a 2nd ultrasound on 6/22 because of my bleeding problem. They found a mass in the 1st ultrasound and they want to identifiy whether it is a polyp or a fibroid.
To add to the excitement I had a urinary tract infection.
I also found out yesterday that I have high blood pressure and they started me on Lisinopril 10mg. It was 145 over 110 yesterday.
I turned 40 and I am falling apart at the seams...ugh
At least you don't wet your pants when you sneeze or laugh.
Welcome to "Middle Age" Nance...
Wow - A lot happens when I am out of touch. Dan- don't people usually get bronchitis in the winter. How are you feeling now? I can make really good soup if you need it. I inherited that skill from Grandma Raschke. Nancy - Start yelling for a hystorechtomy (sp?) You don't need those parts and have no use for them - just get rid of them. Do you think Norb will be relieved or troubled to have his father here? Does your high blood pressure make you feel dizzy or light headed. I have a constant light headed feeling lately and don't know why. (Also - non stop heart burn but I think that is stress related) Just weighing in with my health issues...
I was in Chicago last week - Nice city and good shopping. Met my cousin Erik and he gave me the tour and took me out drinking. I wasn't in good shape on Monday to listen to the speakers - but it was fun.
I am seriously stressed out. School is just too much on top of everything. I think I am not doing another class until the fall. Between being away and having two birthday parties on Saturday - I am wiped out.
Yes, Ethel (aka Danielle) is gone from work. That's should relieve some stress. My new boss is a clueless pushover. Deb - working on getting some Senekot for Gerri.
Thanks everyone for the soup offers. I'm much better this week. Lingering cough but that's to be expected.
You go to get your dog this weekend Lynn, everyone should be excited.
Deb, sorry to hear about Gerri and the Senekot thingI I know you didn't blog it but it can't be good news. Constipated and cranky is no way to go through life, especially a hot and humid summer.
Well, we put our name in for Westover to go looking at the campus the next preview weekend. A lot to think about. More people than we realize are considering private high school.
Nance, I'm with Lynn about that hysterectomy. You may seriously want to go that route if this bleeding problem doesn't stop. Whatever did you decide about the other "laser" treatment-I can't remember the name of it. More or less cauterized the uterus so it couldn't bleed anymore.
Going to the pet store today for a new hampster. Phil's hamster escapted last Friday but we found him in the dresser later that night, no worse for wear. Not much else is new. Working every night this week and next. kathryn was here this weekend but I never got to see her. Maybe next visit.
Glad to see you are back with us. A trip without the family sounds good to me. Yes, Mom has a poop issue due to her meds and generally being bored. Well maybe not caused directly by that but the woman needs to get a job and something to focus on rather than her aches and pains. Can you tell I spent too much time with her this weekend.
Let us know the new hamster's name. Adan got spayed on Friday and what a pain it is to keep a puppy calm. Nothing seems to work to keep her calm.
Good luck with Westover.
Nancy, I would gladly give up the parts to no longer have a period. Think about the savings on "girl stuff".
I guess thats it. Just counting down the days until we don't have to be dressed so early in the morning. The pool is really good so far. Water was 78 today and crystal clear. Maybe I should stop so I don't jinx myself.
Keep on blogging. Somedays, this is the bright spot of my day!!
Dan - Why private school for Caro? What do you think you she will benefit from it? Do you have concerns with the Woodbury school system?
I have this huge feeling of relief here at work with Danielle gone. It's like the atmosphere is so much more relaxed and we can really be ourselves.
Yes, this weekend is puppy weekend. Our little Sophie will be joining our lives. Mentally, I am not up for the challenge but hopefully the family will step up.
I can't imagine worrying about one more thing right now. The upside is that the kids are going to quickly learn to pick up their things or they will be puppy bait.
My father-in-law is coming back to our house. It seems it is not working out with the other sister-in-law and he has only been here since Saturday. Oh well...
I should know more about what's going on after my 2nd ultrasound on Friday.
I sold the Buell Blast motorcycle and bought a black 2007 Harley Sportster 883! I drove it to work today!
Sorry about f-i-l Nance. Is he up here permanently? Do he and your mother get along? Could they be roommates? Did we talk about that already (the roommate thing) and they coudln't do it? I can't remember.
I had 3 separate middle school teachers ask me if we had ever considered private school for carolyn. We had never thought of it but they seemed to think she'd do very well there. We're talking to a bunch of parents who are doing private school and who are in public school. A lot to think about, escpecially after...
mark called a little while ago and said their building CEF (off exit 2) is not moving to the vendor building (off exit 8) and sort of merging. Oh, it's the beginning of te end. i told him it'd be ok to be laid off. This way we woudln't have to worry anymore about jan and july layoffs. and I guess the private school thing would be off.
it's always something.
Hi,
it's 1:15 am and you know what they say about merlot and email-life lessons and all that... (although this time it's chardonnay and email)...
I don't think you had enough wine because I was hoping for some funny stuff.
I work these 2 really rather annoying guys. I call them the dingleberries. I've been working with them all week. By the end of last night I had had enough so when I got home I hit the bottle.
Just as I was blogging mark came downstairs and wanted some "wifely duty" so I had to go. Anyhow (too much information)...
cocktails have started for today. Carolyn's at a pool party, ted's bowling and phil's here with me bored. his best friend (hailey) is in martinique on vacation so he's rather put out. not much else is new. working this weekend and all next week.
Well, I got the 2nd ultrasound and they confirmed that I have a polyp and it has to be removed. They said that once I have a polyp I could get another one and so they are recommending the ablation which burns the inside lining of the uterus out. So, I will be having same day surgury some time in the future!
My father-in-law is @ our house and he is much worse than last year. He can't handle taking his pills or anything. He is @ our house because my sister-in-law is in the hospital. It is just really going nuts here.
Since he's here for good Nance you might want to think about assisted living. He'd have his own
"apartment-room", eat in the dining room with everyone else and get to do daily activities if he so chooses. the nurses there make sure he takes his meds and gets everything he needs.
I realize he may not want to do this but there are places that once you sign the paperwork he will go, especially if you have power of attorney. There are expensive ones, ones that take whatever his pension/social security is etc... each one is different. Some you may "buy into" others you just pay a monthly fee.
Look into it because it might be your best bet with his meds and things.
