snow, glorious snow!

I'm so lying. We were supposed to go to Boston on Sunday to see Caro for her birthday, but now looks like all bets are off. I'll probably swing up myself on Saturday after cats go to vets.

How many more weeks of winter???

Too Many! I am so sore from shoveling.

Karen (from work) had her babies on Saturday but went into labor at the height of the bizzard and went to the hospital on the back of an ATV. Everybody is fine. Babies were both a good size at 4+ pounds.

Norb did the snow blower and I did the shoveling...but we are done and out. My Mom is still snowed in in Meriden. Her street is not plowed nor is her driveway. She is going stir crazy. She told me that she actually shoveled yesterday for hours. I feel bad. Some people also didn't come to work today as they couldn't get out.

OK, I believe there is such a thing as too much togetherness. I am not as entertaining as I once was and my kids are bored. I have Tuesday off and the boys (all 3) are going to school!!

When will it be spring??

Nancy Setzler said...

today feels like spring but I hear we are getting snow again tomorrow.

I'm so sick of stinkin snow. I took Monday off so we all could go to Boston and they're getting a bunch of snow today and tomorrow. We're still going up anyway. Are you back to school Deb? Wallingford was off all week too - I sit next to a lady at work who's kid must call her 5 times an hour because he's bored. It was a riot.

Not much else is new thankfully.

How was your trip Dan?

Lynn said...

So my oldest is now 16. I am old.

That's all for today.

dan said...

16 is a huge milestone. DRIVING!!!

I am old too. We can be old together. Boston was so cold! It was good to see her, but there was so much traffic on the way up, we only stayed a few hours before we had to get back. She has spring break March 8th so we'll have her home for a week soon.

I've started looking for a new car. The Saab is only good for around town driving (if it starts). Looking at the Subaru crosstrek. No good weekends to test drive yet because of all the bad weather. AND, we are so lucky, we get more this Saturday. My mom says it's 80 in Florida. Right now, I think I could winter there too.

Hope everyone else is ok too

I had two Subarus and loved both of them.

I do not want it to snow anymore. I spent the last 2 days up at Hartford Hospital learning our new coding software. Milford Hospital is getting caught up in their work and they don't need me as often. My Saab started the other day and I've been driving it. Since the Saab started, I can't justify spending the money for a new car. I get Carolyn for spring break on friday. Ted is in the school play Guys and Dolls. Phil is good too. How about everyone else?

I don't understand this weird storm. The sun is coming out in Stamford and we have no snow so far.

Ted is in the school play... wow! You must elaborate... is there a girl involved? I pictured Phil more as the entertainer. Can we go?

I have tomorrow off.. Juli is getting her learners permit (hopefully) and Bobby's mother died so we have the funeral.

We are honda shopping. The 3 girlz van is sold to a family from NY with 5 kidz. Ed placed an ad in Craigs list on Friday and had it sold by Sunday at asking price. I knew we should have asked for more! We can't find the title so we have to apply for a new one so it will be gone in a week or so.

Enjoy Carolyn! Give her a hug for me!

How are the rest of the Peeps?

Honda Odyssey or Honda Pilot?

Ted has a very minor part in the play. He's an extra in a mob group that fights and dances a bit. He didn't even go for the yearbook picture when the ensemble all met. Shannara is the choreographer which is how he started going to watch practice and then started getting involved. I'm just surprised he'd even do it.

Enjoyed a day off today. It has been a stressful 2 weeks. My Mom was hospitalized this week, had pains and then a heart attack in the ER (bad this time). Stent is in and she is home. Bob requires a great deal of suppport so I was taking time to drive him and watch over him while she was hospitalized. Her heart has no other closures so fingers crossed.
Interviewed at my school and principal is not moving me on to next round. Not the decision the group wanted to make so work is tense. I will be looking everywhere to move on. Took my state test last Saturday. Yelled at Augie when he felt the need to call and yell at me. Just feel like I need a break...

No more van makes me sad and Juli driving is making me feel old.

Ted in a play is good enjoy!

Deb, I'm so sorry about your mom. If you ever need help, please call.

We need to go out and talk about all this- pick a day - even a Sunday night would be ok

Debbie said...

Sundays are always good. I am in a better place now, my Mom is doing well. We really do need to see each other more often, even just for a bite at Panera's or something.

Lynn said...

Oh Deb... sorry about your mom and work and everything. You have your hands full. I have no idea shy Augie would yell at you when you are the one keeping it all together.

Hurt my back shoveling on Friday. So stupid... I should have just let it melt. Did nothing all weekend but move slowly and take lots of drugs. I'm home today too.

Ed doesn't want an SUV and I don't want another van so we are looking at the Accord. He drove it on Saturday and said it was nice and boring.

We do need to see each other more... I'm up for anything. There is a new diner in Monroe now too.

How's Nancy????

Nancy Setzler said...

Hey, I have been in music land...sorry...Deb hope your Mom is ok. Ted in a play...that sounds great! Just saw Riley in a play!

I am available: Fri 3/15, Sun 3/17, Fri 3/22, Sat 3/23, Sat 4/6, Sun 4/7. If you need more dates in April let me know.

Debbie said...

I REALLY miss you guys. My Mom is doing well, nothing like a scary heart attack to get your attention. All of Nancy's dates work so let's pick and meet just for a bite to eat and to talk.

This Sunday we're taking Caro back to Boston, but any Sunday after that is fine. The 23rd??

Lynn said...

I can't do the 23rd. How about the 7th?

dan said...

7th is ok too

Debbie said...

The 7th is good.
