Nancy's Night Out
Hi peeps! Hope everyone is surviving all the holidays. Time to plan Nancy's birthday dinner. For our house, it's looking like the middle to end of January is better (once we take Carolyn back to school). Do you have a big break from school Deb? If so, we could plan something around that.
Lots to catch up on. Our dryer still doesn't work, the dishwasher leaks and when we turn the oven on, only the broiler goes on. Thankfully the oven didn't break until Thursday and I could make xmas dinner ok. But, when it rains, it pours. Mark said we bought all the appliances at the same time, so it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Glad the holidays with all the work are over and happy to be home today in the snow! Sorry about the appliances Dan. I keep telling Ed he should become an appliance repairman for his next career. He fixed the dishwasher and dryer in the same week in November. It's all crap!!!!
Happy almost birthday Nancy. I can do the last weekend in January or anytime in Feb. Going to Floriday for work in a few weeks. I hope it's warm and sunny.
Dan, I feel your pain. My boiler has been breaking since the summer. We are currently on a back up part and never warm enough. Another attempt to repair it on Wednesday. The microwave is on the way out and I have had 10 days at home with my family!!! I will make any time work. I am out of class by 4:30 on Saturdays.

Jan 26 is ok with me...Do you want to go to that place next to the former Meat House? I forget the name. Do you want to come to Danbury? We could go to Chuck's steak house by Danbury Fair Mall.

26th is good for me too. Any place you want to go is good. I bought all the popcorn balls I could find at the grocery store for you.
Everytime the Saab now goes down hill or takes a right hand turn the parking break light goes on and I get a fractured highbeam message on my dashboard. I don't want to ask what else could break, but what else is going to break?? Computer power source broke, but our awesome comoputer guy fixed it. Can you hear my pocketbook sighing from here??
Sorry Dan.... I feel your pain, the new part is in the boiler as of 5 p.m. last night. I am still checking for a flood because I have lost faith. Looking forward to the 26th!

The credit card company called me on Saturday as they suspected fraud on my card and there was. They cancelled the card. I didn't lose the card. How does this happen? Anyone know?
Nancy... it happens all the time. They steal your credit card numbers from a store where you have used it. I assume they hack into their system. Someone bought gas in canada on my amex a few month ago and last year someone bought all kinds of stuff at Bed Bath and Beyond with my Debit card. That was scary because it was my checking account but Peoples Bank was great. They caught it within hours on a Sunday and refunded my money in a week.
Sorry.. I know its a pain in the butt!
Are we all going to Hershey Park this year? It came up as reminder in my calendar so I must have set it the last time we talked about it. If so, Norb and I need to put our vacation request time in soon as we have to make sure there are certain people in the office when we are out.
I got a flat tire this weekend...$68 for the tow and $225 estimate for a new tire...ugh...
sorry Nance. It's a lot of money. When we get together we can talk Hershey. I haven't put any vacation in either, but the family would like to go away somewhere. Universal studio is looking pretty nice right now.
I got a per diem job at Milford Hospital. I start there this weekend to help them out. They lost 2 coders. I know it's far away, but they are paying me a lot of money to travel there. Will pay for a semester at BU, thankfully.

Was in 80 degree weather last week in Florida and now 8 degrees this morning. Too bad it was for work.

Still can't stop coughing but I am confident I will be better by tomorrow. Movies may be a bust... can't seem to find one that starts at the right time. Going to check Danbury now.
