We are still targeting one of the last two weekends in August for Setzler day on the lake, right? Plans for the rest of the summer are motorcycle riding, car/bike shows, boating (only gone once so far)and gigs (of course). The band is playing a carnival in New Fairfield Wednesday 7/20 @ 7pm and then our bar gig on 7/22 @ 9:30pm. Also, need to do my wedding album. It has been five years and I am really late. Maybe the mere fact that I am mentioning it will motivate me to get it done.

We have not unwrapped the boat yet and I'm not sure we are going to use it at all this summer unless the shot Ed had yesterday works.

So, we may have to scale back Boat Day.

We leave for Boston on Saturday for the Taylor Swift concert and some time checking out the side of Boston we haven't seen yet.

Juli graduates from 8th grade tonight and will officially become a high schooler.

Well, then we can do multiple boat days if you want and just some of you come up each time...just thinking out loud...

I am looking to see if we can borrow Paul's (Norb's son's) pontoon boat either Sat Aug 20 or Sat Aug 27. I will keep you posted.

Ted's surgery is this coming Friday (7/1). Shouldn't be too bad as it's only the meniscus and not the ACL too. Will let you know what the doc finds after surgery. Really short recovery time if he has to take the whole thing out, which really would be a bad thing in the long run, with another surgery later.

Other than college visits, not much else going on. The colleges of choice at the moment are University of Virginia, James Madison, Penn State, George Washington University, BU and Syracuse. I think that's all I can manage for this summer. Mainly drive-by's and seeing if the territory seems ok. I think we're planning as a family to do Boston for a few days in August, but that is knee dependent.

She took the SATs and without even cracking a book managed a 2000 which I have no idea is good or bad, so I'm sort of asking you Deb, how much higher would she need to go, if any? Would it matter to take them again? I haven't even begun to look at the schools she wants, so I have no idea what they require.

Otherwise, everyone is good and I'll let you know about Friday.
When is the next coffee house gig?

I just found out that we can only borrow the pontoon boat on Sat Aug 27th so do you want to shoot for that day as Setzler day on the lake?

Ted's surgery went well. The doctor did not have to take the whole thing out so longer recovery but better in the long run. He re tore the old site and tore a new site too. The ACL was fine. Says he feels like a million dollars but that's the nerve block talking. 6-8 week recovery.

Our boat is not getting unwrapped this year. :( Is everyone going to Last Drop on Friday? If so, let's try to figure out Boat Day. We can do August 27th.

Not sure about Last Drop. Ted's girlfriend is coming for dinner and has to be home early, I'll have to see. Trying to get ahold of Kathryn for the mid-Atlantic college visits to say hellow and catch up. I'll text you to let you know about tomorrow. I would say yes, even if Mark had to bring her home.

Deb...Went to Tavern last night for dinner with Ed and Juli. Liked it. We ended up getting free desert because the manager asked us to move tables for a larger party. Ed loved the beer selection. I think we will be back.

How's everyone?

Bathroom is moving along. Soaking tub is in and I can't wait to take a real bath.

Took the kids yesterday to see the last Harry Potter movie. HANDS DOWN the best one! I think I cried the entire last hour. I'm so sad it's all over. Washing windows inside and out today and power washing the house. No all fun and games here. Hope everyone else is doing well!

After washing and drying windows, today we (he) decided they needed to be removed from the casings and repainted. I dropped a piece of the inside casing on one of the windows that was being painted which shattered the entire window (the one from our bathroon that faced the driveway - the long and tall one!!) It's supposed to have very bad thunderstorms and lots of rain tomorrow. I feel terrible. He's not that mad at me.
