Youth is a wonderful thing. What a crime to waste it on children. ~George Bernard Shaw
So yesterday was "bring in a dollar for Japan and wear a hat day" I found out last night that Lauren chose to wear her hip hop shoe on her head stuffed with a fake furry mouse. She used the shoe laces to tie around her ears to keep it on. Apparently the teachers were laughing so hard they made her walk down to the Principal to show it off. I have her parent teacher conference tonight.... this should be interesting! How are the rest of my peeps. Looks like no snow tommorow... Yeah. Melissa from work is giving us a ping-pong table/pool table combination so we will be cleaning the cellar this weekend to make room. Anybody need any junk???

We are booked at Last Drop Coffee House Friday May 6th 7:30pm-10pm!
Your fan club will be there!
My Dad is in the hospital with a bowel obstruction. It's been rough.. .he is completly confused and disoreintated. He had surgery last night and all will be fine there, but I am worried about his mind.
Nancy,
Went to the Meat House and got some top sirloin steaks. It is a very nice place and lots of yummy things. I also bought burgers and we had them last night and they were delicious.
Dad is doing slightly better but still very confused.
Thank God I am on vacation next week. I need a break!
Lynn
We had to put the 18 year old cat down on Friday. Norb's sister passed away last night. She was 64 and died of pulmonary disease. Not a good weekend for us.
I'm sorry Nancy. Not good here either. Dad is doing good physically but still not mentally. He is being released tomorrow and he has to go for short-term rehab at a nursing home because there is not way we can leave him alone. It's like he became an alzheimers patient overnight.
Sorry to hear that Lynn...I can imagine it is hard to take. I can't convince my mother to move closer to Gary and me and I am really worried about her.
Sorry I have been out of the loop. Nancy, sorry to hear about your loss. Lynn, sorry about your Dad. Let me know if either of you need anything.
Last Drop sounds good! We will be there!!
Hugs to both of you!!!!
Nancy,
Please tell Norb how sorry we are. Sorry we couldn't make the services. Hope all went well.
My Dad is doing better. They moved his to Ashlar in Newtown yesterday. His mind is improving but he may never get back to where he was before he went into the hospital.
Deb... thinking of taking the kids to IPOD on Monday. I know it's one of Ty's favorite places. Let me know if you are free.
I meant IHOP not IPOD!
Thanks for the offer but I will be at work. Enjoy IHOP!!
Where is there an IHOP?
Services last night and today went really nicely for Norb's sister.
Is Norb doing ok?
IHOP is in Milford and also in Stamford.
My dad is doing better every day. The nursing home is really beautiful and he was running around it yesterday. He can't sit still which is so unlike my father. But he seems also normal... I should qualify that to be his version of normal.
Ed is in Atlanta for a trade show all weekend. So it truly will be a girls weekend at my house. Going to see some kitten tonight. We may have a new pet soon.
Norb is doing ok. We had a little scare this weekend and he woke me up to say he was having chest pains so after an ambulance ride they admitted overnight but ruled out it was not a heart attack. I hope this is it for a while I don't think I can handle one more major crisis.
Oh I guess I did handle something else. We got water in the basement not as much as before we got the system but none the less I had to move everything while Norb was in the hospital.
Nancy... sorry I hadn't read this when I saw you at Last Drop. Glad he is doing better. How scary. Did they ever say what it was. He looked fine when we saw him.
My dad is home after a second trip from the nursing home to the hospital. They gave him too much blood thinners and he bled into his stomach and had a huge hematoma. Thank god he got home before they killed him!
Happy Easter everyone! Maybe the sun will shine eventually.
Deb.. Did you completely drop out of Aquazumba?
