"The quickest way for a parent to get a child's attention is to sit down and look comfortable." Lane Olinghouse
Thanks Nance for a good family evening out! We did actually get to sit while our children explored Borders. I hope they ask you back (even after Tyler's door alarm incident).
Happy Valentin's Day to my peeps!!!! Isn't it somebody's birthday in March (think celebrity, neighbor or pet)? I am always free...

OK... if they didn't want us back they just had to ask. Closing is pretty drastic. Seriously, Nancy I think the economy is taking a toll on your music career. Have you called Last Drop Coffee Shop in Monroe yet? Juli was there a few weeks ago for open mike night.
No wonder why they didn't seem to care about the alarm on the door or the men's room. I will miss it there and Tyler was upset (it is his favorite bookstore).
Spent a few days home and resting. Apparently wheezing and feverish really knocks a girl out at our age. I have next week to continue my rest while the others go to school. Have a good weekend!
How are you Dan?? And Nance???
I am really bummed about Borders too! It was my favorite place to play. I will definitely look into Last Drop Coffee Shop in Monroe.
Taking my Mom for carotid artery surgery on Thursday.
Mom is doing ok with her carotid artery surgery today. I hope to pick her up tomorrow and she is planning to stay at my house for the weekend.
Nice seeing you Deb @ Dairy Queen today!
Lynn...dropped off a cd @ Last Drop Coffee House..they told me to follow up with Carl the owner. Deb says you might know him?
Nancy - Carl is Juli's friend's uncle. I don't know him personally but could mention to Corie that you dropped off a CD.
Glad to hear that you Mom is doing OK.
Picked up Mom and and she has to stay with me until her next doctor's appt on Thursday in North Haven @ 1pm. She seems ok. Stopped @ Dairy Queen again (this time in Southington). It is good that I don't live near one!
Nance- glad mom is ok. What exactly did she have done? I didn't realize she had been sick, or was this sudden? I'm so out of the loop...sorry - I've been a bad blogger (ok, non-existent one)
My mom wasn't sick. She had one of those screenings and followed up on it and had carotid artery surgery. She had no symptoms. She is doing ok. Doesn't seem to have an appetite but is eating so I am not too worried.
