Wow Deb...that sounds like a perfect day. What kind of dog? Where did you get her?
We did brunch at the Stone Barn... very good but pricey. I was reminiscing about your wedding. Then I napped all afternoon. Still trying to catch up on the lack of sleep from Friday night.
Mystic was fun, with the exception of sleeping on the floor. The girls loved it. They were so excited and into it. This is a good age before the "This is stupid" and "I'm bored" comes along. One of the classes they took was squid dissection. Dan, you would have loved it! Lauren though it was the coolest thing ever. She had fun squeezing the eye balls and making eye juice. Emily ran out gagging. I was more than happy to sit outside the room with her while she recovered.
Have a good week!
She is a mix from South Carolina and we got her from the SPCA. We will have a vet appt this week. She seems like she lived with people before. Loves to be around us and has not messed in the house yet. Hope it keeps up. I was at the Stone Barn with the boys and told them that is where we had our reception. Tyler looked shocked and replied..."It was built way back then?" Nice.
Mystic sounds cool. Tyler is going to do a Bluefish sleepout in September.
Have a happy Monday! Remember to vote tomorrow!
The Mother's days sound nice so far! Norb's son Paul and his wife Shannon with the kids Nate and Riley dropped by on Sunday and hung out for a while. I must be getting old as I gave her the card that was meant for my mother and vice versa. Oh well.
Congrats on the new dog!
My husband and sons went to baseball all day while I stayed home and cooked for his family and mine. Then they all came over, ate, then left. I was tired so I took a book to bed with me and read until I fell asleep.
I can't wait to meet the new dog and to hear the story of her name! Not much else is new, which is, you know, good. I'm still married to Mark, which is, you know, good (for him anyway).
It is good, for him, and all of them!
Did I tell you that the girls are making their communion on Sunday with party to follow and Ed is going racing on all day Saturday -leaving me to somehow pull together a cookout while taking the girls to 4 soccer game?
Good times, good times.
I voted bright and early this morning. I was #9 at Fawn Hollow... I counted the hash marks.
What can I make for you for Sunday? I'm serious. I know what its like. I may just show up with stuff anyway. How many people are coming?
I have pink eye and I can't seem to get rid of it now. I have been taking the medicine for over a week and it got better and then got worse again. I am going to the doctor's tomorrow. I am really concerned as today my vision seems to be blurred in the pink eye.
Are you taking drops or are you taking the cream ointment? It is extremely contagious. Maybe you nned to have it cultured and make sure they do a sensitivity on it if it doesn't clear up. Maybe it's a resistant strain of Haemophilus aegypticus (I had to show off that I know what it is).
On a totally unrelated questions Should a wife have to go to her husband's class reunion if she doesn't want to when she doesn't go to her own?
Just so you know, I have been posting comments but they are not showing up. I don't know what is going on. Weird.
Sorry about the eye Nance!
Dan you can go and just make fun of everyone OR go and make up different stories about yourself and Mark. Some examples might be we met at a strip club...I was pole dancing then. You met at NASA in astronaut training. You were in the Peace Corps taking shelter in a mud hut in a small African village when Mark appeared. I think you get the idea. The story can change all night long. After that Mark will probably never ask you to go again and you had alot of fun! You can even use the big words that you used about Nancy's eye.
Good one Deb.
I would just go and drink alot...then the stories can flow.
Nancy- could it be allergies and not pink eye. Ed's eyes are blood red and he woke up this morning with them glued shut sort of like pink eye.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Well, I went back to the doctor who sent me to an eye surgeon and they said I don't have pink eye but an infection and they gave me steoroid drops to take for 10 days and I then I can't stop taking them and have to slowly be weened off of them...great!
Oh, I forgot I saw Did You Hear About The Morgans and I agree with Deb's review that the chemistry between the two simply was not there.
Would you believe that some lady walked right through Juli's soccer game on Saturday afternoon with her two cute dogs and didn't even stop to say Hello. The nerve of some people.
