Monday's Quote 11/02/09

"Nationalism is a silly cock crowing on his own dunghill." Richard Aldington

In honor of election day on Tuesday and the simple fact that it had the words cock and dunghill in it. Remember to VOTE!

Adan is pumping iron (steriods) you know. Just kidding...she just has to pee every night at 2:30a.m. and is a little sleepy. The next blood test will be on November 7th. We are going out right???? Beading and Mexican?? I will confirm with beading.

How is everyone else???

Have a SPECTACULAR week, until we meet!

Yes, we are going out. We were beading first correct? Like I said, I may have to meet you at beading. There is a track meet in West Hartford but Ted doesn't want to go. If he doesn't have to, I won't make him. He wants a 2 week vacation from sports before basketball starts (November 20th)- never dull.

We are ok. Still lots fo kids out sick. Phil went trick or treating with the "girls" at his lunch table. We were ready to pick him up when he called and asked if he could sleep over with them. In case you are wondering, the answer is no, 6th grade boys and girls do not have sleep overs regardless of how "innocent" they seem.

It was rainy so the friends who normally have a big bomb fire after trick & treating had it last night instead. Too much wine on a Sunday night leads to a tired head on Monday. I'm craving carbs and it's working.

How was everyone else's halloween. What did everyone dress as? Was Lauren well enough to go?

I think I have the flu now... sore throat and general yukiness but no fever yet.

I'm working from home today because I was supposed to have a gyn appt but I cancelled that because I didn't want to walk into a room full of pregnant women. Started the Tamiflu.

Halloween was good. Lauren was fine by then. Juli ended up coming with us to Stratford and bringing a friend. We went with Barb and Bobby and Ben and Amy. We started at my sisters for dinner and a party and then walked around and ended back at my sisters. It was fun but apparently Juli was completely embarassed by all members of her family. I even gave them the walkie talkies and let them walk up front from us. Ben and Ed spent the night trying to scare them by jumping out from behind cars and throwing fire crackers. Then my sisters house was in complete party mode. Gotta love almost 13.... although in some ways I don't blame her. Serious, reserved and mature we are not.

We had a butterfly, panda bear and a glamour witch. (You can guess who was whom.)

Phil is too funny... the girls probably LOVE him. My girls do!

Can't wait for Saturday!

Lynn: How are you feeling?

I somehow gave myself a black eye from rubbing my eyes too hard or hitting myself in my sleep. How cool is that?

You're the bomb Nance!

Feeling better but still coughing. Still working from home. I'm a member of the pandemic team so I have to set a good example and not go back and cough on everyone.

Deb... loved Al's facial expressions on You Tube! He summed it all up. Is he ready to put the house on the market yet and move to less insane town yet?

Can't wait for Saturday. I promise to be fully recovered by then.

Oh.. do we have a snack/drink plan for Saturday? I can do a bottle of wine and cheese and crackers. I don't think we need a full spread like last time.

I have a box of Ritz crackers that I haven't opened yet that I am not sure we will use so I will bring those.

Do I hear pepperoni Nance? I will bring another drink.
