All is well here... survived the birthday weekend from hell. I leave for Vegas on Sunday. It will be nice to get away from the reality of my life... even if it is work. Can't wait to hear about Niagra Falls. That may be our next international destination.

We're back. It was good. It was hot. It was good and hot. Africa hot. We got home around 1:30 this morning. Atlanta is the airport from hell. Too many people, too much fuel on the plane. Had quite a delay so they could unload fuel from the plane because it was unbalanced and too heavy. Mark wasn't feeling so good about the plane ride after that. I look at it as the pilot doesn't want to die either so they will leave when everything is ok.

Grand Floridian is beautiful. I would only want to stay on a monorail hotel. My feet are so sore and they have blisters and I had good shoes on. We could not stand the buses. They were always late and traffic was horrendous. One afternoon it took us 1 hour and 15 minutes to get from downtown disney back to our hotel. Meal plan was good, although way too much food and on the last day we were scrambling to buy snacks `and use up the last of our stuff.

What we learned from this trip? The boys (Mark included) all have weak stomaches. Mark learned to not eat and take dramamine before any crazy rides.

Favorite rides? Aerosmith's rocking roller coaster, Soaring which is fantastic, Tower of terror is just ok. First time is good, then it gets boring again. I can't tell you how many times we went on Pirates of the Caribbean because it was cool (literally) and there we hardly any lines. Splash Mounain was ok too.

So, that's about it. Long vacation. Glad to be home. How are you all otherwise? Can't wait to see you at lake day and Lynn, Caro is bugging me about Juli coming over. I'll email you once we get settled.

Welcome back Micheners!! Sorry about the heat. Pirates was one of our favorites because there was never really a line and I have a weak stomach for dropping/spinning/height...yeah I am loads of fun.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at boating!!

Annie, our cat, died last night. She died in the car at midnight as we were taking her to the Shoreline emergency clinic. She had a very fast demise... only sick for about a day. I had made the decision to take her to the vet today but she started wailing around 11:30 last night and her breathing was labored so we knew the end was near. I just wanted her not to suffer so we put her in the car but didn't need to make the decision we had already decided to make. They actually asked me if I wanted her to be resusitated... who would resusitate a 17 year old cat! We told the girls this morning... the slept through the drama...some tears but otherwise OK. I'm sure the back to school pictures will be of annie with a halo around her head. That's how they dealt with Kelsey. So, as my friend Karen just said, she is probably in heaven right now swatting someone in the head.

and chewing on someone's cigs...sorry to hear about Annie. You all gave her a wonderful life!

I'm so sorry Lynn. Even though she was sort of a psychotic cat, she was good to you guys and will be missed. Tell the girls we're sorry. When I think of her I do laugh as she would try and bat at you with her paws (and hiss). You gave her a wonderful life! She was truly blessed-
