Monday's Quote 5/6/09

"You can be a king or a street sweeper, but everybody dances with the Grim Reaper." Robert Alton Harris

In honor of last week at the Michener's. I hope everyone is recovering from all of the sadness that your losses brought.

How is everyone else doing. We spent Saturday in NYC at the Museum of Natural History for Tyler's birthday. I can't believe my little guy is going to be 8! We had a really nice day and the boys loved the city. That is such a great excuse to visit more often. Now begins the countdown to the end of school. I am still waiting for warmer weather and apparently I will continue to wait.

Have a SUPER week and keep up the blogging!!! Hey, do I get to see all of you soon??

I was in Port Jeff on a wine tasting trip with my sister and some of Vinny's family this weekend. It was so much fun. On the way home we stopped at the North Shore Animal League and got a 5 month old puppy for my parents. There were having a huge adoption event. He is so cute... really a mut but part collie. I needed to make sure he could keep up with Sophie. So far so good... my parents love him and it gives my dad a purpose in life again. The girls named him Cooper.

When are we going bowling?????

Dan... How is the boyfriend?

Everyone here is doing better. Fey is much more lovable to everyone now that Uli is gone. Uli was a pretty big bully. The children have started talking about kittens but I'm not ready. I'm so glad you found a puppy. Love the name Cooper!

Thanks for the good quote Deb. Did your school budget ever pass? Ours is today. Just got through playing golf again. I truly suck but the guys are very patient. Did some grocery shopping and trying to catch up with laundry. Had to work this past weekend and there was a baseball tournament so no one was home it seemed except to make more laundry.

The boyfriend is good. They went on their second real date on Saturday night. He took her to a carnival that was in town at St. Mary's school. I think they must have had a first kiss or something because the next day she was on cloud nine and all bubbly. Not the usual "I'm tired don't talk to me" look that has been around lately.

I think we're due out for Deb's birthday soon. If I am not mistaken it's pizza and bowling!!! Get out your shoes and balls - especially those that have their own, Lynn Ellen! I'm working the weekend of May 24th but am off the rest of the time.

How are ya Nance?

Glad to hear that things are back to normal at the Micheners. The puppy sounds like a good idea for Ron.

Bowling is a go. Let's pick a date!

I can't do it on Memorial Day weekend which is not leaving us any weekends. Should we move to June or do a Sunday night in May?
