"The most I can do for my friend is simply be his friend."
-Henry David Thoreau
This begins my newest goal. A new quote every Monday to start a new week. It was great being together on Friday. I look forward to boating on Saturday. Feel free to add any thoughts about the quote. Have a SPECTACULAR Monday!!!

I have a white board at work in my cube and I put up a quote everyday. Today's quote is: "The fewer the voices on the side of truth, the more distinct and strong must be your own. - William Ellery Channing. Where do you get your quotes, Deb? We went out on the boat yesterday and it still works!
Only your real friends will tell you when your face is dirty. -- Sicilian Proverb
And will pluck your chin hairs!
We were dog sitting this week for Norb's son (Paul) dog named Miche short for Michelob. She wasn't doing well. She could hardly walk and she died yesterday afternoon around 4pm in front of Norb in our garage. She was a 15 year old German Shepard. It was so sad. We buried her in his son's backyard last night.
On a lighter note: Today's quote is: A man can fail many times, but he isn't a failure until he begins blaming somebody else. - John F. Kennedy.
Norb looked at the weather for Saturday and it doesn't look good. Should we pick a rain date?
Oh nancy, Sorry about the dog. That had to be a hard call to make to his son on vacation.
I just checked the weather an it's only a 40% chance of T-Storms. Let's wait until it gets over 50% to pick a new date!
Sorry about Miche, Nance.
I don't have any quotes. I'll have to think of some good ones for next Monday.
I believe I made you all pinky-swear to pluck my hag hairs when I'm in the nursing home and can't do it myself.
Getting our palate expander off, spacers in and getting reading for turbo braces on Monday!
sorry, for some reason I posted twice
Turbo Braces????? Who and What are they?
Nance, sorry about the dog but now he is playing with all his friends in God's doggie park.
Weather is looking good for Saturday. Directions Nance?
Can't wait to see everyone!!!
Directions: Follow the old directions except don't take a right into Candlewood Knolls at the light and stay on Route 39. Go straight through another immediate light for Candlewood Isle. You will then go by New Fairfield Town Park on the right. As the road starts to turn you will come across a right hand turn called Knollcrest Road. It will also have a sign for Chatterton Marina. Take the right and then another immediate right. Follow to stop sign and first speed bump and the road changes name to Windmill Road. Go slowly over speed bumps. There are seven of them and 1,3,5,7 are especially big. After the seventh speed bump you will see a sign for East Lane and our house is right there on the left (1 Shore Drive). Lynn & Ed go past our house and back boat and trailer into our back yard past the little fence.
Dan: Do you come from Sherman? If so, follow same directions except you will be taking a left sooner than before. You will go by a firehouse on the right and then a restaurant (Villa Pasta) and a deli on the right and then you want to slice off on the left (triangle). You should be on Knollcrest Road and then you can follow the directions in previous blog entry.
Thanks nance, but unless I'm working (which I'm not :) yeahhh)
we'd go on 84. But thanks for thinking of me!
Turbo braces are these crazy 2 braces behind the front two teeth that stay there along with the ones on the front. I don't understand any of it. I just smile and ask how much?!?!?
