Hope everyone is doing well. We are just hanging around doing house and yard work. Tyler has croup (yes, again) and Jordan is doing well. Blog when you can....
And we took Ruth to Panchos for dinner yesterday (church fundraiser and her birthday today). Tyler told the man it was his Grandma's bday and don't you know....she got to wear the sombraro and be sung to. She was so mad, it was great! It's the little things that make the days so enjoyable sometimes.
We're good here. Day 1 of vacation and they only drove me a little crazy. Our new game in the house is charades. Don't ask. I'm not sure how it got started.
If you want to read a very funny book (that would be at the library) it's called The Spellman Files by Lisa Lutz. I read it in a day and couldn't stop laughing out loud. Technically it's a mystery but there is no real mystery. An extremely hysterical dysfunctional family of private investigators.
Vacation this week consists of dentist, physical therapy, going to Hartford and Carolyn babysitting. Not too much work in the hospital, only Wed, Fri & Sat.
How was the wedding Lynn? We went to Kohls and target and spent quite a bit of money on clothes for the girl. Hopefully they will last more then 4 months before she's complaining they are all too small. Still have to get an 8th grade dance dress and hopefully we will wear it to graduation as well.
Not much else. Sorry about the house etc... Nance. How is packing?
Hi Deb. Funny Ruth story. I found out that no one likes that school psychologist I was telling you about. Apparently she did an inservice in the class with the kids and was talking about the special needs kids by name. A few of them got teased afterward so now sh;e sin a bit of trouble. I guess last week she was trying to keep low and things to a minimum. We must have been her catch up paperwork.
Lynn: Is Ed possibly available this Saturday 4/19? It seems that the sellers of the house we want to buy really want to close 4/22 and they will let us move our stuff in this weekend...however this is all up in the air because last I knew the people buying our house didn't officially have a mortgage. I hope to know more in the next few days...
The thought of Ruth in a sombrero has made my day!
I'm working through this very beautiful April vacation. My kids are home with grandpa and auntie krissy on funeral days!
We had a ball at the wedding. Food and place was just OK but our table made up for it. We sat with Krissy and Vinny, Vinny's sister and husband, the minister and his wife and of course, ron and elaine. A very strange group of people but we laughed and danced all night. The most hysterical part was that the minister asked Krissy to help with communion during the wedding. She had the chalise and was passing out the wine. She never ceases to amaze me, I never thought my sister would be giving me communion one day. So it was the joke of the night.
Nancy - Ed could help on Saturday. Do you have a time? Just let me know. He does have a soccer workshop in the AM.
Hello. This post is likeable, and your blog is very interesting, congratulations :-). I will add in my blogroll =). If possible gives a last there on my blog, it is about the Aluguel de Computadores, I hope you enjoy. The address is http://aluguel-de-computadores.blogspot.com. A hug.
We get to move everything into the garage of the new house this weekend. The closings are set for Tuesday. I don't think we need Ed's help...thanks for the offer though...
We got mostly everything into the garage of the new house except the vehicles and they are @ Norb's sons house. It took us all day Saturday and Sunday to do it as we had not finished packing. Anyway, I was wondering if Ed was available this Saturday to help move stuff from the garage to the appropriate rooms...all boxes are marked. My brother came and helped for a couple of hours and complained the whole time so I am not asking for his help again anytime soon. I am taking tomorrow off from work so I will blog Wednesday and let you know how the closings went.
We are in the new house! Lynn: Ed is not needed this weekend by us so you can have him back after being away! I can't wait to put stuff away...the new address is 1 Shore Drive, New Fairfield, CT 06812.
You and Norb must be so relieved that this is over and only upacking to do. (Did your other people get their mortgage yet? What is up with the old house?)
The buyers of our old house got their mortgage at the last minute as we wouldn't have done the deal without it. So, our old house is sold. We just have one small problem. The outdoor cat is still in the neighborhood of the old house. Both Norb and I tried to pick him up to put him in a cage and he got away from both of us. But Norb is continuing to try. Yes there will be a house warming party...just don't know when yet. We have a lot to put away.
The boat is in the water! Are we going to pick dates for getting together on the lake starting in June? The weekends I would like to avoid are: 7/12-3, 8/30-1.
Nancy - how's the new house. Is it right on the water??? We are really open this summer - nothing planned yet. Anything will work just let us know what is good for you guys. Also, When are you at Twisted Vine again?
The house is great! I unpacked my clothes the first weekend and the office the second weekend and this weekend the rest of the kitchen and whatever else I can find to remove from the garage so we can get the motorcycles back from my son-in-law's house.
We are available any Saturday or Sunday except 6/7, 7/12-3, 8/30-1 and Deb is not available 8/16-7 and I thought we wanted to do boating more than once this year so pick some dates starting in June.
We live right next door to Chatterton Marina so we will make prior arrangements to launch the boat from there. As for a place to dock the boat...we are working on that one. Norb has an old friend who lives waterfront down the street and he is going to ask if we can put our boat there for the day. Otherwise, I think I might ask the marina if they have something.
I think you meant to say 7/19-20 and 8/23-4 and I think we have done both Saturdays and Sundays in the past.
It seems that our last gig @ the Twisted Vine is 5/31. When I called to book more I was told they were booked for the summer and to call back in a month. I was so bummed.
Lynn: Norb spoke with the marina next door and we can launch your boat from there and he said he should have a buoy available so we can put our boat on it for the day and we will have you use our dock for the day.

The buyers for our house do not have a mortgage yet so if there isn't an approval this week the closing is delayed from 4/29.

Hello?
Hey Nance, We are always up for boating. And seeing the new place. We are away August 16th/17th. How is the new place?

Future gigs: El Mariachi 5/24, Twisted Vine 5/31.
Oh, I forgot...the house is across the street from the water!
Is there a place for us to launch our boat and place to dock it?
How about July 18 or 19 and August 22nd or 23rd Do we usually do Sat or Sunday? I'm thinking the water may still be cold in June...
