To keep you up to date
We go back tomorrow for one day surgery to have the pins readjusted. The last 10 days have been horrible. Last week they didn't think it was anything. Today's xray shows the bone defininitely in the wrong spot. So, we're adjusting pins & screws and hopefully he'll feel better. We should be back home tomorrow night. I'll let you know how it goes.

Sorry to hear that things are not going smoothly. Hang in there!!
Yeah...I am sorry to hear too...
By the way, Norb is scheduled for the angiogram (and possible angioplasty) Friday 3/21.
We're back home. All is well again. He says his leg no longer hurts. The bone had "drifted" to the left about 1/2 to an inch so everything was off. It took three of them to push his hip, pull his leg & unscrew pins and rescrew them back together again. They said this had never happened before (leave it to us) and hopefully it won't happen to us again. Otherwise all else is fine. With any luck we'll all be able to sleep through the night again. Good luck Nance for mar.21. Where are you having it done?
Danbury Hospital is what we decided on even though Bridgeport and Saint Vincent's came highly recommended by friends we got as many good comments from Danbury Hospital.
I am glad to hear all is well with Phil...keep us posted.
Nothing new on the house front except we got water in the basement again. We decided if we are going to stay we will have to look into one of those basement solutions...any advice? We already determined it would be too much $ to install foundation drains.
I spoke too soon about the house front. Apparently the buyers really want our house and want to go into contract. The only advantage to going into contract that I see is that the price is locked in and since the housing market is not expected to improve it would protect us from getting a lower price. But, on the other hand we have not found a house and we had originally said we would not move until we found something. So, I am leaning toward telling them no contract at this time.
Well Norb and I discussed it and we are taking the house off of the market when the listing expires and not going into contract.
Nancy,
When the time is right you will know it. Take care of Norb right now.
I really think we all deserve a night out. Should we book something in April?? Deb's birthday is too long to wait!
I have gigs 4/5 Twisted Vine and 4/25 Borders Danbury. I am not available 4/12.
A night out would be very good! I am free. Kinda sad (but true).
I'm in for a night out too. I'm working the first and third weekends of April (5th and 6th, 19&20) sorry. I'm free the other weekends. I can skip this one and catch up with you in May for Deb's bday.
No skipping allowed! We can work with your schedules...at least I can.
Any comment on $80,000 for a hooker? I think the amount upset me more than the hooker part. No amount or kind of sex is worth that much.
Think about how much is just given away for free...
At one point someone said one of the girls got $4500 per hour. What in the hell can you do for $4500 an hour? Then we all decided we really didn't want to know. Better left unsaid.
How about April 26th? That seems to work for everyone.
I actually heard $5,500 an hour...So you can work one hour a week and live very nicely.
I was reading something this morning that said deep down he wanted to get caught because what he did (with moving the money) was just so stupid and anyone with any street smarts would have known better.
His poor wife and daughters I would divorce him so fast - take all the money I could and get myself a nice little cabana boy somewhere.
And we think we have problems! (I couldn't resist, the news is just so fascinating today)

Link didn't work - this is from cnn:
WICHITA, Kansas (AP) -- A 35-year-old woman who sat on her boyfriend's toilet for so long that her body was stuck to the seat had a phobia about leaving the bathroom, the boyfriend said.
Police say Pam Babcock apparently spent two years living in the bathroom of her boyfriend's mobile home.
"She is an adult; she made her own decision," said her boyfriend, Kory McFarren. "I should have gotten help for her sooner; I admit that. But after a while, you kind of get used to it."
The case drew nationwide attention after Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple said it appeared the Ness City woman's skin had grown around the seat in the two years she apparently was in the bathroom.
"We pried the toilet seat off with a pry bar and the seat went with her to the hospital," Whipple said. "The hospital removed it."
McFarren, 36, said he can't be certain how long Pam Babcock stayed in the bathroom because "time just went by so quick I can't pinpoint how long." He said beatings she received in her childhood caused her phobia.
"It just kind of happened one day; she went in and had been in there a little while, the next time it was a little longer. Then she got it in her head she was going to stay -- like it was a safe place for her," McFarren said.
But McFarren said she moved around in the bathroom during that time, bathed and changed into the clothes he brought her. He brought food and water to her. They had conversations and had an otherwise normal relationship -- except it all happened in the bathroom.
Don't Miss

McFarren said he finally called police February 27 after he became worried because Babcock was acting groggy -- like she didn't know what was going on, except she was awake.
What emergency responders found when they went into bathroom has left residents of this small western Kansas town buzzing, and law enforcement officials incredulous.
Police found the clothed woman sitting on the toilet, her sweat pants down to mid-thigh. She was "somewhat disoriented," and her legs looked like they had atrophied, Whipple said.
"She was not glued. She was not tied. She was just physically stuck by her body," Whipple said. "It is hard to imagine. ... I still have a hard time imagining it myself."
She initially refused emergency medical services, but was finally convinced by responders and her boyfriend that she needed to be checked out at a hospital.
"She said that she didn't need any help, that she was OK and did not want to leave," he said.
Whipple said the county attorney will determine whether any charges should be filed against McFarren.
McFarren, who works at an antique store, said he has been taking care of Babcock for the 16 years they have lived together. He insisted that he tried to coax her out of the bathroom every day.
"And her reply would be, `Maybe tomorrow,"' Whipple said. "According to him, she did not want to leave the bathroom."
She was reported in fair condition Wednesday at a hospital in Wichita, about 150 miles southeast of Ness City. Whipple said she has refused to cooperate with medical providers or law enforcement investigators.
Babcock has an infection in her legs that has damaged her nerves, and there is a possibility she may wind up in a wheelchair, McFarren said.
James Ellis, a neighbor, said he had known the woman since she was a child, but that he had not seen her for at least six years.
"I don't think anybody can make any sense out of it," Ellis said.
Babcock had a tough childhood after her mother died at a young age and apparently was usually kept inside the house as she grew up, he said.
"It really doesn't surprise me," Ellis said. "What surprises me is somebody wasn't called in a bit earlier." E-mail to a friend

All About Kansas
You know, there was a Nip/Tuck show about a woman stuck to her living room couch and her skin had grafted onto the cotton fibers. Pretty sick. What kind of a doofus doesn't realize his girl friend needs help when she lives is a bathroom. Only in Kansas. (sorry mid westerners). This would not have surprised me if it was in West Virginia either. (sorry west virginians).
I'm going to check April 26th to be sure. I'm very much looking forward to it.
Of all the rooms in my house the bathroom would not be my choice. And my other thought...where did he go potty if she ws stuck to his???
The 26th works for me!
P.S. and to think of all the sex I gave away for free!
ooops April 26th is Norb's birthday so I don't think that will work for me.
Well, I just checked the schedule and the 26th is ok with me but I guess we'll have to find another time. If the other weekends work with everyone else, like I said, I can skip this one and catch up later.
We just came back from Htfd and all is well. We don't have to go back for 2 weeks (and that IS saying something!) I will be good to have a week off of Hartford traffic.
