We're home

We got home today around 1:15p. Of course I84 is closed so we had to go round about.

Well, he's in a wheelchair and will be for a while. Can't really bend his knee very well so getting in and out of the car is kind of horrific. It took 2 of us to get him in but after tomorrow I'm going to have to come up with a way to do it by myself. He's playing Nascar 08 now (that Ed had gotten him) and loving it. It's mostly just physical therapy and keeping that leg loose. We got your card today Deb, thanks. I'll keep you updated as we go along. Otherwise it's valium and tylenol with codeine twice a day (and theres some for him too)-haha, just kidding, but I could use some too. We need stock in Senekot, he hasn't pooped since Thursday. Egad, he's about to blow. mark is getting something that will make him go by tonight. it's the valium that's doing it but if we don't take it his leg just spasms and we can't get any PT done.

How was house hunting Nance?

Ok, so I blogged this for 1 minute and Phil's gotten himself out of his wheelchair and into another chair by himself. Only a couple of loud crashes and a near fall, but he's not supposed to be doing anything alone. This is going to be a very long 4 months. It's good that he wants to but he can't even stay up by himself without weaving back and forth and we haven't taken our drugs yet today.

It's going to be tough to keep that little boy down. Good Luck!
Would tying him to the chair be an option? You are certainly going to be up for the mom of the year award this year.

Emily and Lauren actually have a delayed opening and an early dismissal all on the same day. Not much school going on this week.

So does that mean they only go to school for 2 hours?? We had that once. What is the sense in that? We have the day off. it's very icy here. I've been on the phone trying to get him a bigger wheelchair. Buracreacy!
His frame keeps getting caught between the seat and the side of the chair.

What else has been going on? I'm so out of the loop. Blog people. My life needs it.

Just waiting to go pick up the boys plus the 2 girls from down the street. They hd 2 1/2 hours of school today. I had 4 kids before school and again after. I even hd to drive because it is too wet to walk. In addition to this, Adan threw up 2x (once on Al who then put puke stuff on bed, yes I had to wash the comforter). Then Ty had a bloody nose that just wouldn't stop. All by 9:45!

I am glad to hear you are home Dan. Who gets the drugs?? If anyone can do this its you, hang in. When can he go to school?

Nance...house???

Hey Lynn, is Ron on kid duty?

Dan keep blogging and I will do the same.

I was walking in the morning on Monday and all of a sudden my ankle gave way and I didn't fall and I thought nothing of it. At lunch time it started to ache to the point I could not put much pressure on it. I left work early, went to the orthopedic who said that I sprained it and gave me an air cast which works really great and I can walk almost normal.

As for the house, we looked at a bunch of houses last Saturday and decided together that we didn't like any of them better than the one we looked @ a few weeks prior that we fell in love with the inside although it had some drawbacks. Norb is going to do some investigating this week and if all goes good we may make an offer contingent on selling our house.

As for the potential buyer of our house...negotiating stopped when they went to Florida to adopt a child and will supposedly commence when things calm down but we are not holding our breath. Our contract expires mid to late March with our current realtor and we have another one in mind to take her place if the house isn't sold.

Our basement has flooded today! Anyone have any advice besides a wet/dry vac? The water is still coming in. I hope it stops raining soon.

Sorry Nance, last week when our basement flooded we used the wet dry vac and ran the dehumidifier for days on end. The switch for the furnace shut off valve which heats our hot water broke and water was spewing all over the basement. Actually that was last wednesday night and figured it was a sign of things to come (and I wasn't far off).

We just had physical therapy for hours. It breaks down to 45 minutes to get dreseed/into the car and drive there, 2 1/2 for PT and the same for getting home. It was pouring so instead of parking outside I parked in the parking garage and we "ran" in our wheelchair for the door. There is a speed bump on the right hand side of the road which I didn't want to have to wheelchair over so I scooted into the left lane for a minute and just as I did a lexus pulls in and guns it toward us. Well, we can't have that now can we? So of course I pull out many finger gestures, asshole calling, idiot & SOB which makes him roll down his window (in Waterbury no less) and we get into it. Long short of it, the DHL delivery man said I did have to right of way and the guy just drove off.

So, how is on line teaching Deb?

24 clueless kids online. There is a lot of confusion. I figure that not matter what they have to pay me. So I seem to just be shoveling sh-- against the tide. Probably the same thing you're doing Nance. Sorry to hear about the water.

Dan, no kicking ass in Waterbury. Stick to the burbs for your fighting. Hands down you can take any mother in Woodbury.

So today I pissed off an employee enough for her to call our ethics hotline to wage a complaint against me. Her name is Teneka and she lives in Wilson NC - need I say more. She never works for a variety of reasons and when I told her she had to take vacation time for one of the many personal days she recently took she told me she didn't like my tone. Tone - I happen to think I have a nice tone!

So all in all this day sucked for each and everyone one of us. I think we all deserve a group hug.

Nance- we have water too.

Here's to a better day tomorrow.

Lynn, I know a man named Tony LaTito. He "takes care of things" if you know what I mean. He can take care of your "tone" problem for you.
