I am disgusted and speechless. I sent her to school because Sheila Casinelli called me last night at work and I didn't get the message. I guess I will be disinfecting my entire house this weekend. My head is itchy.....
We had this once when Carolyn was in pre-school (and she had very long hair). This is what I ended up doing: lice shampooing everyone; spraying all the couches, chairs with the disinfectant spray you can buy along w/lice shampoo; putting every stuffed animals we owned (and there were many) in black plastic bags and tying them tightly and storing them for 2 weeks in a closet (once they come out any lice will be dead); washing all bedding on hot water, spraying the mattresses with the spray and drying them all on the highest heat; have everyone sleep with bandanas around their heads too after spraying pillows.
I'm so sorry. There's a lot of combing to be done along with nit checks. I can totally feel your pain. It doesn't help that their hair is curly too. My head has empathy itches for you.
So far OK. I have yet to see one. Just the report from the school. When I went to their Parent teacher conference the other day Emily's teacher told me that many parent complained that they didn't see anything also. I guess they had a substitute nurse the day it all broke. Anyway - better to be safe than sorry.
