Ed and I started Nutrisystem today. So far breakfast wasn't so bad. I'm hoping that if we do it together it will help us both. Plus we really need to repent for all the beer, wine and chicken wings and nachos we ate watching the Red Sox! I'm so glad it's over so I could get to bed at a descent hour.
I'm sure by Saturday I will be dying for good Mexican food.
Emily and Lauren are home sick today with colds. I think winter has finally begun.

Trying to count points again. Glad to hear about Boston. In our home the World Series did not happen this year.
Boy this is so hard to keep weight off. I was down to 135 with weight watchers but now I am back to 150 and creeping up slowly.
Oh to be 150 lbs again.....
Ok, so I had my "interview" with the church tonight. There was a panel of 6 people (the personnel committee). Apparently one other woman applied for the job too. I hope she gets it. What are my weaknesses, strengths etc... My God I hadn't answered those questions in 20 years. I really sucked. I had to type a letter and do dictiation. On the dictation thing I didn't spell check and spelled the word "which" whigch and still handed it in. I really hope the other woman gets it.
I had to answer 4 what-if scenarios. Too funny. I came on really strong and mark thinks I've probably scared the minister because I did tell him if there was a time constraint and he was too busy to answer or do what I said I told him I'd literally tell him to stop and say he had to do this. I'll tell you more about it on Sat.
They asked me if I had any questions and all I said was I had no idea how much it paid and how much vacation time I got. (good beginning-huh?)
I told them after working in the lab and arguing with doctors, nurses and other hospital personnel I didn't think this job would be too hard or stressful. I really don't think they understood what working in a lab means.
They wondered if I could be bi-partisan being a parishoner and all. I told them if
I was offered the job I'd transfer to another church if they wanted me too. That drew a laugh. In fact, I drew many laughs. I was flippant and poignant, sincere and apologetic. In reality, I was myself.
The group was led by the town's first selectman and that's all I know.
The other lady was waiting outside in her car. I told her everything they asked me and what they did. Again, I hope she gets it. mark thinks I'm over qualified which is true. So much more to say. I'll talk to you later...

Oh my - I have missed so much... Congrats Dan - Can we call you the "church lady" yet? You are probably the comic relief they need around there. No passionate affairs with the minister. I remember how much you loved the Thornbirds. Of course you are overqualified but at least it won't be stressful.
Halloween week is a bad time to start nutrisystem. I already broke into the kids candy and they haven't even trick or treated yet.
OK - 150 is my goal weight!!!!

150 lbs is the goal weight for the left side of my body.
I was laughing out loud about the 150 goal weight! But just as you guys I have several sets of clothes and I am now in my fat clothes and there are many I can't wear so hopefully we will all get where we want to be!
I want to be in the Bahamas being served by a very good looking cabana boy named Javier.
This is what I want:
I want soccer to be cancelled for 9:00 a.m tomorrow morning if it is indeed going to be 35 degrees with remnents of a hurricane... then I want the 12:15 brownie zoo day to be cancelled, then I want the 4:00 p.m. girl scout leave raking to be cancelled...the I want to be sitting at a mexican restaurant with my best friends in the world sipping margarita severd by Javier and listening to good music!
OK...I want to sleep until 9 am without a dog or child bothering me. I then would like to read the paper in peace followed by a long, hot shower again being done in peace. At this point the nanny can bring the children where I could do a craft project with them. I'm sorry, I just got sucked into a Danielle Steele TV movie...can't wait to see you guys tomorrow!
