Motherhood took a hit today

I found a love note from phil to a girl in his class and my daughter is upstairs shaving her legs and underarms. She assures me she is the very last one in her class to do this and most have been shaving from 5th grade. I'm not ready.

I'm sorry to hear about your growing pains. At least your daughter has good personal grooming habits (would you really want a girl braidable underarm hair?). And those Michener boys are lady killers...again couldn't it be worse??

Jordan got braces yesterday and Tyler got his flu shot. Alan has finally finished, I think????!!!!

Lynn how was the test??

Dan - I would have thought the love note would be from Ted or he just hides them better. That's so cute. Now the leg shaving thing is another story... I'm not ready for that yet. I can barely keep myself in razors!!!

Test was horrible. I finished in 20 minutes because you either know it or you don't - and I didn't. It's Ok though. My other grades were good so I figured I could get a 60 on the test and still get a B.

How's Jordan doing with the braces? Give him lots of motrin. Juli was miserable for a few days after her palette expander was put it. She's fine now.

When can we start calling him Doctor Al?????

I don't remember shaving until I got to high school. Boy they are starting these things much earlier...

Lynn - Maybe you did well, you never know. Jordan is doing well. Just getting used to new brushing and food rules. You can call him Dr. Al now because it is defended and final revisions are done.

Invites are out. My mother is being a pain in the ass...her OCD about cleaning and her stressing about that many people here etc. Who cares, I think I will just drink. Jennie's for catering??

Thanks you guys!

Sorry about the braces thing Deb but on the other hand Dr. Al has a good ring to it. No more having to pay monthly for the conferences he had to have with his advisor.

The love note was hysterical. I found it in his backpack when I was cleaning it out. It was to his friend Hailey who up till now has just been a friend. She was the one who wanted him to sleep over her house last year. Anyway it was one of those I'm glad you like me because I like you and were afraid because you hid from me at lunchtime etc... Oh 4th grade heartache!

I have an interview at church next Tueday night for the secretary thing. I have to take a dictation and spelling test. I can only shake my head. I hope they're all medical words (but I know they're not). I'll let you know what happens. it's only 15 hours a week.

Deb:

Got the invite. Norb and I planning to come. What should I bring? What should we get for Alan? Should we all go in on something together?

Deb - we will be there also. What can I bring?

Dan - a spelling and dictation test? No one does dictation anymore - that's what computers are for. And spell check was invented for a reason. Maybe you could put a contemporary spin on things...

I believe that the church should feel blessed for Dan's presence and not be bound to the process of testing such an intelligent woman. OK now that I got that off my chest. Glad to hear you are all coming. I am planning on catering the food, if you would like you could bring an appetizer (there will be many kids as well as adults). Thanks! We will talk more on the 3rd.
