HEY!!!

Thanks for the new message, I thought a new post would be good. Are you ready to be a student? Is Mark really ready to be all he can be as his own employee and boss? How are the kids? Not much new here. Went to New Jersey to see my sister and Hannah yesterday. We had fun. Lake George on the 12th and that's about it. Alan finished Chapter 4, its with the editor and he has started Chapter 5. I think I am going to throw him a party in the Spring (probably May so we can be outside). I am leaning toward the pizza truck because he really liked it. Someone else should babble now...I miss reading just about anything.

Dan: I think they have the same kind of course through Naugatuck Valley Community College. Did you check that out to compare?

Norb really enjoyed the pizza truck too.

Lynn: I tried to send you pictures I took at the party to your home and work email but I got an error. I also really enjoyed the band!

As for me, I get to wear my thumb brace until 8/20 (my next appt) and my boot for another week and then sneakers for two. I have not officially quit the band yet but I heard the recording from the party and it is absolutely awful. Maggie and I are moving along though with the acoustic gigs so I hope to just be concentrating on that.

Thanks Nance and yes I did check on NVCC. Their course runs 14 months, is 3 nights a week for 3 hours and is 5795.00. Danbury Hosp is only 40 weeks & 2 nights a week and is 1350.00. So kind of a no brainer. Pretty soon all the orthopaedic equipment you have to wear will come off. Just get a really good pair of sneakers and wear them everyday.

Well, the apple doesn't fall from the tree with my daughter and shopping. Took her all over the Danbury Mall looking for a dress for the wedding. even went into Abercrombie & Finch (which is ridiculously overpriced and thank god she realizes it). We ended up at Ann Taylor Loft and found a cute dress I was willing to pay 99.00 for (getting it big so we could also wear it to our 8th grade dance next June-to which mark just laughed at me and said she'd be much taller by that time)and got it to the register and it was only 60.00. So that was a good day. Now if i cold only find a dress for myself. It really seems to be a huge weight-loss instigator- shopping. Once you get into size 16 or a little (ok, a lot) bigger all the clothes go down hill and look like your grandmother at 80. Plus there is just no selection. I can't quite bring myself to walk into Lane Bryant yet ( but I think I will have to) because they seem to have the most old lady looking clothes. Oh well, if I just exercised and got off my butt it would be a different story.

Mark is looking forward to cutting trees down Deb. Just say when...

Also, I read there is a new Jane Austen movie out (actually about Jane Austen). So, we'll have to keep that in mind although I know there's no time. Can you believe it August already? 27 days until school starts, I'm not ready. We're having a pretty good time this summer but its good to have them in camp this week.

That's all the news. I'll publish or perish (isn't that supposed to be Al's line?!) more when there's something to write about. I could write you dribbles all day.

Hi Y'all,

Back from vaca and sort of relaxed - although no vacation with kids is relaxing. At least I didn't have to cook and clean. Lauren and only Lauren got the stomach bug on Tuesday. She was then pretty miserable the rest of the trip. But we still managed to have fun.

Krissy is on her way to the hospital to be induced - BP getting higher every day so the doc said it's time. (Sounds familiar) I'm betting she doesn't deliver until tommorrow night. That's what happen to me with Juli. I'll keep you posted.

Go for the pizza truck Deb - just book early. I didn't really get to sit and enjoy it so I will look forward to some mashed potato and bacon pizza!

Nancy - when is your surgery??? Thanks for trying to send the picture but if it's a big file, both accounts will reject it. I've had it happen many time. The only solution is to break them down into several emails or post them somewhere and send a link.

Kids are now officially off for the month of August and with my dad. God help him and god help them.

Dan - I usually do good at Talbots or Coldwater creek. I have to very summery dressess you can try from my last two wedding. One is a cute suit - black on the top and white skirt with black embrodery on the bottom. Just let me know.

False alarm - they sent her home. Not ready to induce yet.

Where are we meeting on 9/8 and what time?

Does anyone know anything about term life insurance? Does anyone have it? What carrier are you using and how much are you paying?
