Alone at last!!!
They are all gone. Alan started on Monday and the boys went today. I know some of you might be sad but not me. Before they left for school today I burnt the whole tip of my finger on a pop tart and dog wrestling that was happening on my bed (cheered on by the boys) led to the puppy taking a pee on my new comforter. They will be back at one and I will feel refreshed and happy to see them. Hope you are all having a good day!!

Yes, I am sitting in my bedroom alone listening to the sounds of NOTHING! It's beautiful. My new understanding boss had no problem with me working for home today so I am going to try to be as productive as possible so I can keep doing this as needed. Need to update you all in the visit to the orthodontist with Juli. Phase I (pallet expander) to start soon. UGH!
Happy first day of school everyone. Looking forward to next weekend for some wings and junk food!
Yes, I am the sad one. I did cry like the sap that I am.
The wedding was very nice. My niece has apparently married into an orthodox baptist family. God has taken me into his bosom etc...
It was very hot (literally 100 F) outside at 530 when they were married. There was an air conditioned barn but it really only fit the wedding party and the grandparents. The rest of us sat outside. Once the sun went down it wasn't so bad.
Getting down was hard as the DVD player broke and we had to stop for a new one in Danbury and in VA a truck carrying neon green flip flops caught on fire and we were stopped on the high way for an hour. The kids thought it was fun to be able to run around the road with the other stuck kids.
People in NC don't really like to talk about Harry Potter who apparently is the devil's own evil but don't mind kids watching The Dukes of Hazzard (go figure).
We've had palate expanders Lynn E and they're not so bad. This first phase should run you about 3K. All you have to do is crank the key once a day for 1-2 weeks depending on how bad it is. The most disgusting part was the slurping sound being made while eating as food kept getting caught in it. (Just have plenty of patience). Sha also might sound a little "lispy" talking but only for a day or so.
That's all the news. Glad to be among my peeps once more and looking forward to the 8th.
I had a palate expander growing up and it was really painful for me so hopefully it is better now. I felt pressure each time my mom cranked the thing.
We start our process with a seperator next week and braces in October. Jordan is actually excited. I still don't have the heart to tell him that they will also be pulling teeth.
Deb, nitrous oxide (aka laughing gas) is a beautiful thing...
For me or for Jordan???
haha
It really wasn't bad. Ted had 6 teeth pulled at one time. It saves you money on the dentist, a lot less teeth to clean.
Are we meeting @ 6:30 @ Lynn's house?
