Oh no - bad mamo

I just got a call that I have to now go for an ultrasound because there is an area "they need to see further." That's all they would say.
I'm sure it's nothing. I have been told I have cystic breasts and this week probably wasn't a good time to go - right before my period. I don't feel anything. They tell me I will get the results on Wed. when I go.

All I want is one week without some sort of drama!

Dan - if you got the Voices from this week - look for Juli's picture. Also, tell Carolyn thank for the clothes. My 6 year olds are wearing them all.

Emily has Lice along with most of Fawn Hollow

I am disgusted and speechless. I sent her to school because Sheila Casinelli called me last night at work and I didn't get the message. I guess I will be disinfecting my entire house this weekend. My head is itchy.....

My Sweet Annie

Anyone want to venture a guess on how much the vet bill was to determine Annie has a uti? (Complete with sedation - but I'm sure no one is surprised by that)

The contestant the comes the closest without going over wins their choice of a beautiful, sweet, grey tabby who only has a few good years left - or a personal chef to create a weeks worth of gourmet meals. (courtesy of Nutrisystem)

Life is not fair - In one week I lost 2 lbs and Ed lost 7 lbs.

Nutrisystem

Ed and I started Nutrisystem today. So far breakfast wasn't so bad. I'm hoping that if we do it together it will help us both. Plus we really need to repent for all the beer, wine and chicken wings and nachos we ate watching the Red Sox! I'm so glad it's over so I could get to bed at a descent hour.

I'm sure by Saturday I will be dying for good Mexican food.

Emily and Lauren are home sick today with colds. I think winter has finally begun.

Motherhood took a hit today

I found a love note from phil to a girl in his class and my daughter is upstairs shaving her legs and underarms. She assures me she is the very last one in her class to do this and most have been shaving from 5th grade. I'm not ready.

Dan...aren't you celebrating another year soon? Do I hear dinner?? A good British flick?

Hi.

Alone at last!!!

They are all gone. Alan started on Monday and the boys went today. I know some of you might be sad but not me. Before they left for school today I burnt the whole tip of my finger on a pop tart and dog wrestling that was happening on my bed (cheered on by the boys) led to the puppy taking a pee on my new comforter. They will be back at one and I will feel refreshed and happy to see them. Hope you are all having a good day!!

Reconfiguration Stands!

Hallelujah!!!!

School starts August 29th. The crazy Save Our School people were voted down. It was finally in the paper (front page). At least now we're not going to school into July. What a relief.

Leaving Thursday, not back until late Sunday night. Talk to you then...

It's a Boy!

Anthony Steven Cavaliere arrived early this morning by c-section and weighed 71lbs 14 oz. Mom and baby are doing fine. She had a really hard time - started labor on Monday and finally went to the hospital yesterday afternoon. She never dialated past 4 cm, even with pitocin, and the baby was stuck in her pelvis. He started going into distress around mid-night so they finally decided to do a section. Talked with her this morning and she sounded good but drained. I'm going up to see him after work.

Monday, Monday

Good morning ladies!!!!!

Well Carolyn came home last night from VT, had a good time and is already angry with me because I won't let her buy an itunes song with the "F" word in it. The only thought I have on this is "boarding school".

There is a judgement today in court at 2pm about the regions' reconfiguration. The judge wouldn't make an committment last week to rule, saying he needed more time. Well, today it's decided if the reconfiguration can go on or not. If they vote against the reconfiguraton, the earliest school could open is the 3rd week of September. We'd be going to school into July at this rate! So many people are upset. Everything would have to be undone and it cost over 100K.

Do you know what you're having for dinner tonight? I wasn't even out of bed this morning before it was asked of me 3 times.

What time are we meeting Sunday? We have to be ushers at church at 10a so the earliest we'd be there is at noon time. (It's always something). Blog happy because it's a dark day at our house. I have to work with the "dingleberries" tonight.

I have PMS #*&$*(#$#$&^%#$^(*

HEY!!!

Thanks for the new message, I thought a new post would be good. Are you ready to be a student? Is Mark really ready to be all he can be as his own employee and boss? How are the kids? Not much new here. Went to New Jersey to see my sister and Hannah yesterday. We had fun. Lake George on the 12th and that's about it. Alan finished Chapter 4, its with the editor and he has started Chapter 5. I think I am going to throw him a party in the Spring (probably May so we can be outside). I am leaning toward the pizza truck because he really liked it. Someone else should babble now...I miss reading just about anything.

Fun in August at Nancy's

Nice party on Sunday Lynn Ellen... Try www.webkinzclub.com

Next bit of fun at Nancy's, I'll bring a macaroni salad of some sort and a dessert. What should we do about drinks? Each bring our own cooler of whatever our family will drink? Is this what we did last time? I can't remember. All I know is that someone has to take Ted out knee- boarding. It's all he can talk about.

Are you OK Nancy?

I am so sorry to hear about everything. Send my condolences to Norb. Are you ok? What happen on the bike? Was it an accident? Give us some detail....

Aren't we due for a night out?

I believe that we may be due for a good meal with friends? It sounds like everyone could use it. Dan - when are you working? Is everyone free during the week? Mondays are the only day I can't do. Come on ladies, lets celebrate summer!

Complaining pays off...

June

I was afraid anyone was afraid to blog because we didn't have a June blog (only kidding)...

Not much is new here, thankfully. Lynn, I called your dad to see if he wanted to see Pirates on Tuesday. I think he must be at a funeral or at the senior center. When I called him last week I was "giggling" that he must be at a funeral and he wanted to know what was so funny about being at a funeral. Still the same old Ron.

I cannot wait for school to be done. it seems the teachers are applying last minute projexts like mad so they have something to do. The last 4 days of school are half days, what a pain.

How's chapter 3 Deb?

How's Norb Nance?

How was racing over memoiral weekend Lynn?

Blog people, I need news

Tyler and our Governor

For those of you who don't get the CT Post, there is a great picture of Tyler high fiveing Jodi Rell. Deb - I saved it for you in case you want extra for the grandparents. I'm sure his dad is so proud of his little "Yankee" fan.

I see Waitress is playing over the weekend at the Crown (or Bow-Tie) at 9:40 so we could do that if you guys want. Nancy - are you coming?

Beware of the Rabbid Possum

For the second time this month, we are candidates for police blotter. I was thorougly enjoying myself last night at a party at my bosses house when my left me a voice mail to say to be very careful when I come home because a possum has been stalking the house, in broad daylight, for about an hour. When I called back she said my dad had just called the police to come and take care of the animal. So by the time I got home, 3 police cars had just left. Apparently in Monroe police are not allowed to shoot animals so they captured him by putting one of my garbage cans over it. I really wish I could have been there to see six police officers capture a possum. So now I have a rabbid possum under a garbage can in my driveway. Hopefuly today animal control will come to take care of it. I just can't believe that 3 police cars came. The kids were so excited to go to school today to share it with their friends.

Oh - and this morning Lauren said, "Dad - you have a lady bug in your bed" No Lauren - lady bugs are not grey and fat - it's a tick. UGH - I'm moving to the city!

Going to pick out the puppy tomorrow after soccer. We are going to spend the Saturday night on the cape and drive home sunday.

Have a happy weekend.

Ant party!

The ants came marching 100 by 100...

You've really never seen so many ants in one place ever inside a house. I'd be disgusted to tell you that it was in our dishwasher. I took all the dishes out and hand washed them all. Ran the empty dishwasher twice to drown them all out. We can't figure out how they're getting in. All the drawers are out of the cabinets, everything washed. The cats think it's a buffet. (They eat ants which is kinda gross). The ants are crawling from behind the dishwasher through the underside of the counter tops. I've sprayed, flayed and prayed that it's the end....This is what I get after a nice breakfast out with you guys.

Now we're eating off of paper plates/cups and not using dishwasher until I can get things under control. How's the piddling Deb?

There was a man I knew at the polls today....

I saw Ron working the polls with all of the other seniors today. I believe he even defended me when I used the wrong door. Hope everyone is enjoying the weather!

Hey Nancy - great CD!!! I think we are going to try to catch you at a Starbucks in June!

How's the Flood at your House

Found out last night that our basement does flood- sump pump and all. Ed is away so it was all me. My dad tried to help (key word - tried) and attempted to suck up the water with the shop vac that Ed had used to suck up sheet rock dust. Once I got all the cement out of the shop vac it did work pretty well. Anyway - it was not fun and I'm tired.

Looking forward to dinner Thursday....

A New Little Story...

I will begin a story and would like you all to add to it. Let's see how creative the hot 40 somethings can be. (Yes I am a little bored, work is slow).

Once upon a time in a quiet little town in the country there lived ...

Dinner Anyone???

We haven't seen each other in a while and I personally could use a night out. Either a Saturday or during school vacation week. It would be nice to have something to look forward to knowing that Al and the kids will be bonding with me. Do I have any takers?????

How to meet new people

This weekend was again a bring Curious George home and document the event weekend. Luckily I was not away (I was in NY for the 1st George experience, I was also away for a biscuit experience). George made pizza with us, went to swim lessons and followed us everywhere. Of course we documented the events with pictures. George also went to Palm Sunday service with us and got to walk the town green waving his palm. During my church time with George I was approached by several men all making George comments. Some complimenting his Tie (my idea) some just needing to say something to a 40 year old woman carrying George with her. And the moral of my story....

If you want to meet people (men) all you need to do is carry a stuffed monkey with you!

Welcome to the New Blog

OK - were hot (and not all having flashes yet), were 40 and we sure are something! Nancy vetoed the idiot husband part - she is a newleywed after all.

Thanks to all for the suggestions. I'm still laughing.

Things are crazy here as usual. Everyone has been sick, including me.

On a sad note, our sheepdog mama lost all her puppies because of that damn dog food problem. Now its back to square one trying to find another puppy. Although I have a lead on a pregnant dog on Cape Cod who should be due in mid April. This process has been harded than conceiving my own kids and not nearly as much fun. I'll keep you posted.

Besides that, work sucks, my husband needs to be medicated again and I'm tired of coughing and peeing at the same time.

Someone blog some good news.
